MECHSEPT’12, a Regional
level technical event organized by department of mechanical engineering
supported by ASME, on 4th of September 2012. Students of all
colleges of Rajkot participated in this event.
MECHSEPT provided a great
platform to students to innovate new and different ideas and to shape it in the
real sense. It’s a stage to have fun with education, an enjoyment with
knowledge, a laugh with a meaning. So this is the chance, rather an opportunity
to develop, innovate, to find, to gain and above all to be different.
The registration for MECHSEPT’12 was free
and kept online http://www.gardividyapith.ac.in/mechsept12. The response
was overwhelming and around 600 students registered for it.
The inauguration function was started
by lightening the lamp by the chief guests, Hon. D.V. Mehta, Chairman of Gardi
Vidyapith, Mr. Prashant Mehta, CEO of Gardi Vidyapith, Prof. S.B. Jadeja, Executive
Director of Gardi Vidyapith, Mr. Dhanpal Shah, H.R. manager of ATUL motors pvt.
Ltd. Mr. P.S. Mudaliyar, training officer of ATUL motors pvt. Ltd., Prof. V.H.
Oza, Head of mechanical Department of Gardi Vidyapith and the HOD’s of all the
Departments of Gardi Vidyapith.
A video showing the preparation of
MECHSEPT’12, prepared by students was shown reflecting the hard work put in by
the student and faculty coordinators to make the event happen.
An inspirational speech was delivered by Hon.
D.V. Mehta, chairman of Gardi Vidyapith to motivate the young participants and
students.
The inauguration function proceeded by
awarding of scholarships to the students who exceled at GTU examinations, to
motivate them and recognise their hard work in the field of academics.
